KATHUA, July 20: The female multi purpose workers who are on 24 hour chain hunger strike in front of CMO Office here warned to go on fast unto death tomorrow in case the Health Department failed to release their salaries of last 13 months and stop harassing them by posting in far flung areas.
The Female Multi Purpose Workers Union president, Sudesh Kumari said that the five members will sit on fast unto death tomorrow as the authorities have failed to settle their demands by releasing the salaries of last 13 months in their favour. She said instead of releasing the salaries the authorities were harassing them by posting them in far-flung areas. This has generated a lot of resentment among the female multipurpose workers who have decided to intensify the agitation by resorting to fast unto death.
