SRINAGAR, Jan 1: Enforcement Squad of Department of Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Kashmir today sealed four butcher shops and realised a fine of Rs 4600 from erring shopkeepers in various markets of Srinagar and Budgam districts.
The squad led by Joint Director Administration, Mohammad Akbar Bhat, also imposed fines on various shopkeepers for overcharging and non-display of rate lists.
The team inspected scores of establishments including vegetable, fruit (venders), butchers, chicken , bakery and medical shops in the twin districts.
The shopkeepers were asked to maintain the prices approved by the concerned department and desist from profiteering and hoarding.
