JAMMU, May 13: A man was killed while his son received injuries when the scooter they were riding on was hit by an unknown vehicle near Bye-Pass Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
As per police sources, Dwarka Nath (65), son of Maheshwar Nath of Jagti Nagrota was riding on a scooter along with his son Satish Kumar (34), when an unknown vehicle hit their scooter near Bye-Pass Nagrota on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, resulting into grievous injuries to father-son duo.
The injured were rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors declared Dwarka Nath as brought dead, while the condition of his son was stated to be stable, when last reports came in.
The body of the deceased was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started.
