POONCH, Oct 10: In a most cruel and shameful act, a 52-year-old man and father of 13 children, committed rape on a 10-year-old minor girl and also made her nude video on his mobile phone in Mendhar area of Poonch district.
The matter was exposed when the video went viral in social media. The relatives of the girl, told her parents and when they noticed the nude pics asked girl who narrated the whole story and the ordeal which she faced at the hands of her `so called’ uncle.
A police spokesman said that the parents reported the matter to Mendhar Police today and also shown the video. The girl was sent for Medical examination and after recording her statement in presence of Magistrate the police started investigation. The police also registered a case FIR No. 185/ 2017 under Sections 376/363/342/354/511 RPC against the accused person.
The accused has been identified as Mohd Latief, son of Alam Din, resident of Salwah village in Mankote area of Mendhar Sub Division. The minor girl is a student of Class 6th and is said to be close relative of the accused.
The family members alleged that Latief who works as agent in tehsil office Mendhar had taken the girl with him on the pretext of preparing her Aadhar Card about few days back. But he took the girl to Ghani village and kept her there in confinement at a house for about four hours and sexually abused her there. Not only this, he made nude video of the girl with him and warned her not to tell this to anybody otherwise, he would show her video to the people of the village. The girl frightened and kept mum.
Some body noticed the video in Latief’s mobile phone and uploaded it in social media three days back. It went viral and reached the parents of the girl, who reported the matter to police after girl revealed the whole story.
SDPO, Mendhar Riaz Tantray when contacted said that a case FIR No. 185/ 2017 has been registered against the accused Latief who has two wives and 13 children. He said that police teams are conducting raids to nab him. Riaz further said that girl and her parents have revealed the whole story and girl after medical examination has been handed over to the family. The accused will be behind the bars shortly, the SDPO said.
