UDHAMPUR, Oct 21: The ongoing fast unto death at PHE Complex Udhampur by casual labours/need based/ ITI trained/CP workers of PWD/PHE/PDD/irrigation and Forest Department, entered into 6th consecutive day today.
The fast dharna is being staged under the banner of United Front for regularization of the services of these daily rated workers.
The protesting workers raised slogans in support of their demands and vowed to continue the fast dharna till a formal announcement is made by the Government for their regularization.
The dharna was also addressed by Ajay Samyalia, president of the Front and other leaders, including Balwan Singh, Mohan Singh Pathania, Sanjay Kumar, Arun Singh, Tilak Raj, Bal Krishan, Bhushan Lal, Sanjay Kumar Sharma, Purshotam Singh, Falil Singh, Manmohan Singh, Sudershan Kumar and Sandeep Kumar.
