Fast unto death on OROP

Sir,
Sitting on fast by the ex-service military personnel at Jantar-Mantar in New Delhi for implementation of one rank one pension scheme, as stands okayed in principle both by the preceeding as well as existing Govts indicates a very gloomy phenamenon of welfarism for those who budge not an inch even in the theatre of war. How encouraging and moral boosting it would have been had atleast a target date for implementation of the scheme declared by the Prime Minister on the Independence Day. Thus, long cherished desire to enjoy OROP scheme, very much within parameter of justice, seems shattered into pieces. Hollow promises and false announcements even for the things okayed-principles generate a sense of dissatisfaction and faithlessness. The ex-servicemen who fall eligible under the scheme  are almost senior citizens, who have walked a long and tiring distance  on this earth. Not -acknowledging their services merely on administrative and economic bottlenecks, if any, becomes extremely painful and disappointing. It is highly becoming on the Govt to solve the issue on priority basis, as serving food when appetite is lost, becomes tasteless.
Yours etc…
