Fast Track Court acquits rape accused

JAMMU, Dec 3: Four persons accused of rape were acquitted by Fast Track Court Jammu of the charges leveled against them.
After listening to the arguments from both prosecution and the defense, Presiding Officer (Judge), Khalil Choudhary at Fast Track Court Jammu stated that prosecution case has failed and the accused Vicky Kumar alias Kaka son of Om Parkash resident of Rajiv Nagar, Narwal, Jammu; Sunil Kumar son of Juvan Lal resident of Village Kattal Batal Nagrota, Jammu; Munish Verma alias Kali son of Tilak Raj, resident of Delli Channi Himmat, Jammu and Lehar Singh, alias Lehru son of Krishan Singh resident of Village Gran Morh Reasi, at present Talab Market near Police Complex Channi Himmat, Jammu are acquitted of the charges leveled against them and are relieved from bail and surety bonds executed.
The Judge further said that the accused Manoj Kumar alias Munna son of Charan Dass resident of Village Talput, Udhampur, at present Channi Himmat has been absconding and the proceedings U/S 512 was initiated against him on Jan 27, 2018 and the proceeding under section 512 against the accused Munish Kumar alias Monu son of Jagdish Raj resident of Durga Nagar Jammu and Aman Kumar resident of Rajpur Nagar Narwal were initiated on October 12, 2013 against them and they are still absconding.
They should be produced before the Court when they surrender or are arrested.
It is pertinent to mention here that a case was filed against the accused persons, who are acquitted by Fast Track Court, at Police Station Arnia in FIR number 35/2013 under section 363/366-A/376(g) read with section 34 RPC.
