This has reference to the news item ‘Farooq extends support to Hurriyat’ DE Dec 6, 2016.
Dr Farooq Abdullah, going by his track record, is known for such outbursts. He often on blows hot and cold. When in power, he was quite against Hurriyat and Pakistan. Now when out of power, he sings peans to the same. This vacillating attitude has earned him no admirers, and that is why people whether in Jammu and Kashmir do not take his statements seriously.
The nationalist forces are outraged at his remark, and doubt his belief in secularism and ‘unity in diversity’.
His changing stance every now and then to befool the masses does not look worthy.
