GANDERBAL, Mar 08: The Member Parliament (MP), Srinagar, Dr Farooq Abdullah today visited Ganderbal to review the progress achieved under different centrally sponsored schemes, other developmental programmes being implemented in the district at a meeting of District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee, (DISHA) of District Ganderbal held in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here.
Vice-Chairperson DDC Ganderbal, Bilal Ahmad, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna, SSP Ganderbal, Nikhil Borkar, Additional District Development Commissioner, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba, CPO, ACD, SDM Kangan, ACR besides BDC Chairpersons and all other district and sectoral Officers were present in the meeting.
At the outset, CPO Ganderbal gave a detailed overview of the developmental scenario and progress achieved under different ongoing schemes in the district through a PowerPoint presentation.
During the meeting, the MP took a comprehensive review of various schemes department wise including, Health, Education, PDD, RDD, PWD, PHE, Agriculture, Horticulture, Fisheries and other departments.
While reviewing the progress on various ongoing development projects, the MP said that the aim of holding the DISHA meeting was to have firsthand appraisal about the implementation of various schemes and to assess the developmental requirements in the district.
