Farooq, Omar joing large crowd to bid adieu to Khajuria’s father

JAMMU, Dec 8: The mortal remains of Parkash Anand Khajuria, father of BJP Jammu East MLA, Ashok Khajuria who breathed his last here yesterday were consigned to flames at Jogi Gate Cremation Ground this afternoon.
A large number of people from all walks of life attended his funeral to bid last adieu to BJP leader’s father. The prominent among them included Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Union Minister of New and Renewable Energy Dr Farooq Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister, Tara Chand, Finance Minister, Abdul Rahim Rather, Agriculture Minister Ghulam Hassan Mir, Minster of Industries and Commerce Surjit Singh Slathia, Political Advisor  to Chief Minister Devender Rana, MoS Home & Revenue, Nasir Aslam Wani, MoS R&B Javed Ahmed Dar,  senior Congress leader, Mangat Ram Sharma, former DGP Kuldeep Khuda, Additional DGPs K Rajendera and Dr S P Vaid, MLA Jammu West, Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, MLA Reasi, Baldev Raj Sharma, MLA Marh Ch Sukh Nandan, former Chief Secretary and MLC, B R Kundal, senior NC leader and MLC, Ajay Sadhotra, BJP State president Shamsher Singh Manhas and heads of various social, political and trade organisations besides prominent citizens from all walks of life.
The BJP Seh Prabhari for J&K R P Singh flew from Union Capital early this morning to participate in the funeral procession of Mr Khajuria’s father.
