SRINAGAR : Minister of State for Hajj and Auqaf, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi along with Member Hajj Committee of India Dr. Firdousa Bano today visited Hajj House Bemina and took stock of the arrangements put in place for the Hajj-2017 pilgrims.
During his visit, the Minister also inspected Dining Hall and Kitchen and enquired about the facilities available there for pilgrims. The Minister asked the concerned to ensure quality food to the pilgrims. He also asked the concerned to maintain cleanliness in and around the premises of the Hajj House.
Farooq Andrabi also inspected pilgrims staying hall, dining hall, prayer hall, ablution room, Ladies Hall, Gents Hall, Foreign Exchange Currency Centre and parking area.
Later, the Minister chaired a joint meeting of officers at Hajj House to review Hajj arrangements put in place by the Government.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner with Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Executive Officer, State Hajj Committee, Syed Qamar Sajad, Member J&K Hajj Committee Dr. Nissar Ahmad Wani and other senior officers of Hajj and Auqaf.
Addressing the meeting, Andrabi directed the concerned to take special care of sanitation and cleanness in and around the Hajj House premises. He also impressed upon the officers of Civil and Police Departments to maintain close coordination and take initiatives to make the foolproof arrangements.
