KATHUA, Feb 25: The farmers from various areas of the district held protest here today.
Large number of farmers assembled outside DC Office and demanded release of water through canals, as they are facing problems due to water crisis.
“Due to non-availability, our crops can get damaged, which will result into losses. Early release of water through canals is the need of the hour”, they added.
Later, DC Kathua along with SDM assured the protesting farmers that they will take up the issue with the concerned authorities for redressal.
