FANS celebrates Haifa Victory Day

JAMMU, Sept 23: Forum for Awareness of National Security (FANS) celebrated Haifa Victory Day today.
The day was celebrated to commemorate the martyrdom of soldiers of three Indian Cavalry Regiments; Jodhpur, Mysore and Hyderabad Lancers, who with their gallant and bold action librated Haifa from Ottoman Empire in the Battle of Haifa in 1918.
The program was an interactive session and the topic was ‘Emerging Security Scenario in Neighboring Countries’.
Speaking on the occasion, Major General (Retd) SK Sharma, President FANS highlighted details of the complete operation.
Sudershan Kumar Former Director General DRDO, who was the guest of honour spoke at length about the emerging security scenario in the neighboring countries. He also highlighted the technological aspect of the challenges which lie ahead for our society.
UK Jallali Former Advocate General of J&K stressed the need of remembering the historical aspects of the India and society is required to have a sense of pride for India’s achievements in the past.
Lt Gen (Retd) Rakesh Sharma was the chief guest who spoke on the emerging threats to our country in view of the changing geopolitical scenario in the neighbourhood.
Mohan Lal SSP also spoke on the occasion and discussed the emerging security challenges in the country.
Parshotam Dadhichi, Kshetriya Vayevastha Pramukh, RSS stressed the need of introducing Indian culture in the school curriculum and remain united and try to help the society.
Dinesh Gupta, Treasurer and General Secretary and Advocate Prem Sadotra welcomed the guests and gave overview of the programme.
Gourav Jamwal Advocate and Media Incharge FANS ensured smooth interaction with all the participants.
The programme was also attended by Lalit Aggarwal, Opinder Sharma, Ravinder Jamwal, MP Singh Palli, Deepak Sharma, Diwakar Sharma, Deepali Sharma, etc.
