”Failed” to unite Jammu with Kashmir: Mufti

JAMMU:Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today said aim of the government is to end discrimination among all the three regions of the state but it has failed in uniting even the people of Jammu with Kashmir.
”Like Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, our dream is to unite Jammu and Kashmir with the country but unfortunately, we have even ”failed” to unite people of Jammu with Kashmir, Mr Sayeed said while speaking at the birth centenary function of late Congress leader Girdhari Lal Dogra here.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the special guest on the occasion. Mr Sayeed said, ”I promise to the people of the state that like 2002 to 2005, we will do justice to all the three regions including Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh.”
”People of the state want nothing but only justice, good governance, corruption-free state and with the cooperation of all, we will resolve the contradictions,” he asserted.
”Mufti Mohammad Sayeed has no lust for chair but we joined hands with the BJP despite north pole-south pole combination, only to end regional disparity to create good atmosphere,” the Chief Minister said.
Mr Sayeed paid tributes to Dogra and remembered him as a leader of masses. (AGENCIES)
