NEW DELHI, Nov 14: Commissioner Secretary, Industries & Commerce, Farooq Ahmad Factoo today inaugurated J&K Pavilion at Pragati Maidan here.
On the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary interacted with the stall holders and Artisans of Jammu & Kashmir.
While responding to the queries of media persons regarding the purity and quality of saffron, Mr. Factoo assured that the purest form of saffron will be available with the J&K Agro Industries and so far products of Kashmiri crafts are concerned all the traditional craft of all the three regions of State will be available at the Pavilion.
Director Handicraft Salma Hamid also accompanied the Commissioner Secretary during inspection of the stalls at J&K Pavilion.
In a reply to media regarding the spurious handicraft items sold on the name of the J&K, Director Handicrafts said a team of officers from the quality control wing of Department is already on job to curb the mall-practices if any.
