Extend relief to Sukhnai

Sir,
Relief should be extended to residents of Sukhnai village, which was gutted in a devastating fire recently, on a war footing basis. These hapless villagers have lost almost every valuable item in this inferno. They have even lost their source of livelihood in the shape of cattle and sheep.
Though relief has started pouring in from Government side, NGOs, charitable organisations and philanthropists should also chip in at this crucial hour.
Being a farflung area, it almost remains cut off from rest of the State, particularly, during winters which is slowly setting in this remote hamlet. In case, relief does not come quickly, they will have to face a harsh winter.
Besides,  it should be ensured that relief is provided to genuine victims. Usually what happens during these incidents is those small and weak are left to fend for themselves. Those who have contacts usually manage a lion’s share. The supervision should be carried out by honest and dedicated officials who would ensure that relief reaches genuine and needy.
Yours etc…
