Explosives seized in Kishtwar

JAMMU, Mar 20: Army today smashed a militant hidout in Kishtwar district and seized explosive devices including hand grenades and IEDs.
Acting on a tip-off, troops of the Delta Force launched a search operation in Dichhur forest area in Kishtwar district and busted the hideout, Defence spokesman Col R K Palta said.
They recovered a large quantity of explosive devices from the hideout, he said.
The seizure included 20 hand grenades, seven Chinese grenades, three IEDs, a TNT slab, a smoke grenade, 30 gelatine sticks and 498 safety fuse detonators.
A battery charger and 100-mt of cordex wire were also seized, the spokesman said.
