POONCH, June 22: With an aim to listen to the grievances of public and to highlight the same on concerned platforms, former MLA and Youth NC Provincial president for Jammu, Ajaz Jan visited area of Khari Karmara Poonch and Mandi located near Line of Control and urged the Govt to expedite bunker construction work.
Taking due care of all the precautionary measures as suggested under Corona virus, Jan met locals and discussed in depth the issues they are confronting in present pandemic.
The local people put forth all the grievances with main demand was for an economic/ financial package for all the small scale workers and labourers who are worst affected due pandemic.
In his statement post visit of LoC area, Ajaz Jan said that situation between armies of India and Pakistan are normal today and we hope peace will always on LoC. He said that during shelling time area getting rattled with mortar shelling, the Government should ensure to speed up the project for construction of bunkers in LoC area.
“ The project is not of that speed which was expected and authorities should look into the matter,” Jan said.
He further said that work on majority of road projects in the area is yet to resume even after unlock and concerned agencies should look into it whereas a probe should be ordered to verify all the works of MGNREGA executed on ground in last one year.
Jan also demand setting up a COVID dedicated Lab in Poonch to reduce gap of receiving report and to facilitate masses of this border district.
