JAMMU, Mar 15: A deputation of the J&K Excise Taxes Employees Welfare Society called on Advisor to Lt Governor, Farooq Khan and apprised him about the grievances of the Excise Department pensioners.
The deputation, led by the Society president Vijay Sharma (Retd DC Excise) submitted a memorandum of demands to the Lt Governor through Advisor Khan. In the memorandum, the Society has appealed the Lt Governor to release the installment of hiked DA of four percent with immediate effect and extend the benefits to employees/pensioners of J&K Government at par with the Central Government.
Advisor Farooq Khan gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured necessary action on their genuine demands.
The deputation comprised of S B S Mastana (Retd- DC Excise), Media Secretary; S P Khajuria (general secretary), S K S Arora and Rup Krishan Mattoo.
