KATHUA, Feb 20: The sleuths of Excise Department conducted raids in different areas of the district and destroyed 1400 kilograms of lahan.
As per official spokesman, on the directions of the Excise Commissioner Mohammad Javed Khan and supervision of Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu Syed Muried Hussain Shah, the Excise Team Kathua led by ETO Excise Range Kathua, Vikas Anand, Inspectors Excise Arun Kumar and Sanjeev Khajuria, SI Amit Sharma along with Excise Guards Rajinder Singh, Mohammad Ramzan, Balbir Singh and Akeel Ahmad conducted raids in Jaraie and Tarf Sanji areas of the district.
During raids, the sleuths recovered 1400 kilograms of lahan, raw material of illicit liquor, which was later destroyed, he added.
