Excise sleuths destroy 1300 kgs of Lahan, 12 bottles of liquor

KATHUA, Mar 17: Under the supervision of Excise Commissioner, J&K T. Angchuk and Deputy Excise Commissioner (Executive), Jammu  Mohammed Shahid Saleem, Excise Team  Kathua under the command of ETO, Sandeep Gupta raided the Jerrai, Maichak, Keengdayal, Saktachak and Kundechak areas of Kathua district to arrest the menace of illicit distillation.
More than 1300 kilograms of Lahan and 12 bottles of illicit liquor made from lahan, which is highly injurious to health was recovered by the raiding team which was later destroyed by the team on spot.
Meanwhile, Excise team Samba under the command of ETO, Ms. Tinna Mahajan and ETO, Eradication, Jammu,  Suresh Sharma while raiding in the district destroyed 50 kgs of Lahan.
