UDHAMPUR, Mar 18: Former MLA of Udhampur Pawan Gupta today inaugurated National Institute for Skills Development (NISD) Udhampur branch.
Ramaloo Ram and Medhavi Sharma were also present at the opening ceremony as special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Gupta said that today when competition is very high and jobs are negligible. “It’s impossible for any Government to provide jobs to all. But if our youth got some specific skills like, they can start their own startups and Government is ready to help all those youth who want to start a new startup,” he added.
“Institute like NISD plays a very vital role in nation building. They provide skills training in today’s most likeable professions like Beauty & Makeup and Fashion Designing,” he said, adding, now our Udhampur youth can also gets all these skills and start their own venture.
MD of NISD Manju Bala said NISD is a well-known brand institute of J&K for providing skills training. She said more than 1200+ students complete their trainings from NISD’s different branches. “Now, they earn good income for their lives. NISD always tries to give better education and state of the art infrastructure to all in a minimum cost,” she added.
Manju Bala said that they have lots of queries from Udhampur in last few years but only few students can approach them at their Jammu centre and therefore, they decided to open branch of the centre here in Udhampur in the year 2020 but it got delayed due to COVID 19 pandemic.
