POONCH, Mar 12: Former MLA, Mohd Ikhlaq Khan, his PSO and three others were injured when his Bolero vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in Bhata Durian area this evening.
Official sources said that mishap took place when the Ex-MLA from NC, was returning home at Bhata Durian near Mender after condoling the death of his relative at village Nakka Majari. Hardly a few kilometers short of his village, the vehicle No. JK02BP/ 0073 went out of control and fell into a gorge.
The people of the area rushed to the accident site and shifted the injured to PHC Bhata Durian. While Ex-MLA was referred to District Hospital Rajouri, his driver Tahir Iqbal was discharged after first aid in local hospital. PSO Mohd Riaz, a woman and her daughter, in relation of the Ex-MLA, were referred to Surankote hospital.
