Kangan facing water crisis: Altaf

SRINAGAR, Mar 12: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Kangan Mian Altaf Ahmed has asked district administration Ganderbal and Public Health Engineering (PHE) authorities to take necessary steps to restore the water supply to the Kangan town which is facing acute water shortage for last several days.
In a statement issued, Mian Altaf said that the Kangan town is facing acute water scarcity for last several days due to which the people are suffering. He said that the Wangath canal one of the main sources for the drinking water supplies to Kangan town has been shut for repair work that affected the water supply and alleged that the concerned authorities failed to make alternate arrangements.
