JAMMU, May 12: Ex-Central Paramilitary Forces Welfare Association (CPFWA) today celebrated its annual function at RS Pura here which was presided over by Shashi Sharma, President of the Association.
All the prominent members of the association participated in the programme.
Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Chander Mohan Gupta was chief guest, who in the presence of his wife Kamala Devi, Secretary Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) Panjgrain, Swami Satyarmtranda and office bearers of association honoured over 150 war widows and veer naris along with over 200 retired paramilitary force personnel with Paramilitary Forces Sammaan.
On the occasion, clothes provided by BSS, bed-sheets and other gifts were also presented to war widows and veer naris of paramilitary forces.
Harvinder Mahajan, Chairman 14K Development donated 25 bed-sheets and Rajesh Mehta, Branch Manager SBI Bank RS Pura donated 25 gift items to war widows.
During the programme, discussion was held with regard to various issues pertaining to ex-paramilitary forces personnel.
Shashi Sharma and General Secretary of the Association, Darshan Kumar demanded One Rank-One Pension, separate pension rules in accordance with our duty while CCS rules are cruelty upon central paramilitary forces, exemption from new pension scheme, extend all post-retirement benefits on declaration of Ex-CAPF status similar to Defense Forces Servicemen/widows and dependents etc.
They also appealed to Mayor Jammu Chander Mohan Gupta to arrange their meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah whenever he will visit Jammu next time.
