Ex-Army soldier contests allegations of land encroachment

JAMMU, Nov 2: Ex-Army soldier Ranjeet Singh, a resident of Lower Barnai, has claimed that those persons who have alleged attempts to encroach the land of Shamshan Ghat (cremation ground), are trying to mislead the administration by concealing the facts and the orders of the High Court.
Ranjeet Singh visited EXCELSIOR office and furnished several orders of different authorities as well as of the High Court, the analysis of which depicted the picture totally contrary to the one projected by some people before the Deputy Commissioner Jammu few days back.
“The order of Single Judge vide which land was falsely demarcated was set aside by the Division Bench of the High Court vide order dated August 28, 2017. Now, when every false effort and misdeed got defeated they adopted another modus operandi to mislead the senior authorities”, Ranjeet Singh said.
He also produced documents, which revealed that credential of some persons who had alleged encroachment of the land, are doubtful. “I have projected the true picture before the Deputy Commissioner Jammu, who has assured to conduct enquiry”, the ex-Army soldier said.
