JAMMU, Apr 4: A joint meeting of the representatives of J&K Government Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee (EWJAC) was held under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, State president of the association, today.
All the representatives in one voice appealed to the State Government to fulfill all the pending demands of the employees including removal of pay anomalies/disparity of clerical cadre. Babu Hussain Malik blames the previous Government for deliberately betraying from the commitment made between the employees and Government on 10-03-2008, 19-02-2009, 14-05-2010 and 15-09-2011 wherein it was promised to fulfill all the agreed demands of the employees but nothing was done and described the Pay Anomalies Committee made by the Government as an eye wash just to befool the clerical cadre employees.
The pending demands highlighted include removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre by giving grade of Rs 4000-7000 to senior Assistant and Rs 5500-9000 to Head Assistant, increase of medical allowance from Rs 300/- pm to Rs 2000/- pm, dislocation allowance to all the officials who are posted outside their home districts, release of budget for early disposal of all the pending cases of GP Fund withdrawal and regularization of Daily Rates workers/ Contractual employees and Anganwari workers.
Others present in the meeting were Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Bharat Bushan, Yashpal Sharma, Nazir Kumar, Kavi Raj, Vikas Sharma, Hari Singh, Uday Singh Pathania, Pawan Kumar, Mohd Iqbal, Javed Iqbal, Vikas Gupta, Umaer Jan, Rangil Singh, Lekh Raj, Satpal Singh, Ajay Khajuria, Ramesh Chander, Ali Mohd, Raj Kamar, Ravinder Singh, Madan Lal, Pavnesh Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Harvinder Singh.
