JAMMU, Feb 28: NSS Unit of Government College of Education (GCOE) Jammu today started 7-days Winter Camp wherein different activities would be conducted by the volunteers.
The camp was inaugurated by Principal of the College Dr Kulvinder Kour, who congratulated the NSS Programme Officer Dr Shubhra Jamwal and her team Prof Sarita Dogra, Prof Shapia Shameem and Prof Seema for taking an initiative to involve the NSS volunteers in different activities.
On the first day of the camp, cleanliness drive was carried out in the college campus with active participation of NSS volunteers. Even a Rangoli Competition was conducted.
Poster Making Competition on Drug Abuse, visit to Historic Akhnoor Fort, civil defence training to NSS volunteers, visit to Dogra Art Museum and Royal Palaces and cleanliness and awareness activities in the adopted village are among the activities to be carried out during the Winter Camp.
