Rajouri, Aug 17: Women Development Cell and Women Study Centre of Governemtn P. G. College Rajouri in collaboration with Social Welfare Department J&K organized and Online Inter-College Essay Competition on the topic ” Impact of COVID-19 on the Socio- Economic Conditions of Women”.
The programme was organized by Prof Asia Rashid Bhat Coordinator Women Development Cell and Prof. Raheela Mushtaq, Prof Fatima Perveen and Dr. Atiya Sayed Members Women Development Cell of the college under the supervision of Principal of the College Prof (Dr.) Shakeel Ahmed Raina.
59 students from different Colleges of J&K participated in the competition. Vatsalya Chadha of Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammue bagged 1st position where as Sonali Billawria of Government College of Education Jammu and Shafeeq Ahmed of Government P.G.College Rajouri clinched 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Prof. Asia Rashid Bhat presented formal vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, a National Level Quiz on the theme Mathematical Logic was organised by Department of Mathematics of Government Degree College Darhal.
Principal of the College Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia appreciated the role of Organizing Secretary and HoD Mathematics Dr. Ather Aziz Raina for making this event a grand success. He said that it was for the first time that GDC Darhal succeeded in organizing a National Level event. He said that the faculty of the College is making all out efforts in making this institution a better place of learning.
Giving details of the Quiz Dr. Raina HoD Mathematics told that overall 223 participants from various universties and colleges took part in the competition. The participants getting more than 40 percent were provided with e certificates.
