ESRM stages ‘Mera Bura Na Souch’

KATHUA, Feb 23: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRM) in collaboration with BLSKS today staged Vijay Malla’s new progressive play ‘Mera Bura Na Souch’ in its Monday Theatre series here at Bani.
Sarpanch Bani, Uttam Chand was the chief guest on the occasion. A large number of locals thronged the venue for witnessing the play.
The play starts with theme song ‘Beti Bachawo Hamara Nara Beti Padawo Hamara Nara’. In the play, a young lady is harassed by her mother- in-law, who demands a male child at any cost from her. The daughter-in-law, who is well educated, decides to leave the house and refuse to undergo an ultra sound test.
The son also tries to persuade his mother but she is determined for ultra sound test. When all his efforts go useless, he approaches his elders and senior members of his society including Sarpanch of the village for intervention in the matter.
The Sarpanch warns the elderly lady and explains her the importance of a girl in the society. He also explains various schemes launched by the Government for a girl child.
Actors who acted in the play were Vineet Bali, Krishen Rajwal, Usha Rani, Rishika Sharma, Happy Gupta, Raju Mad and Vijay Malla.
