JAMMU, Oct 17: Ek Sath Rang Mandal (ESRN) today presented it’s 217th Monday Theatre with Vinay Malla’s new Nukkad “Shiksha Jeewan Ka Aadhar” in collaboration with UCT and BLSKS at Jhuggi Jhonpri (Slum Dwellers) near JDA Flats, Janipur road Jammu.
It is a progressive play in a Nukkad form particularly for those children who are deprived of education because of their inability to meet the expenses of education. Another major reason of their illiteracy is that neither they nor their parents know the value and importance of education.
If their parents will realize the importance of education only then they will encourage and convince their children for education
Ramu is a young boy who is deprived of education from the very beginning of his age, reason being that his parents could not meet the expenses of education. Second reason is that his parents are themselves illiterate. Ramu is forced by circumstances to work as a child labour for helping his parents.
Fortunately, one day Ramu meets an old man who is on his mission to educate poor children. Old man asks Ramu whether he is mentally ready to obtain education free of cost that too in evening hours. It is a blessing for Ramu but he asks old man for that he has to leave his working on daily wages. The old man solves his problem by saying that he can attend classes in the evening hours after his work is done.
Now old man describes importance of education and asks Ramu if how many children are without education. As he is on his mission to educate such children, Ramu tells that so many children are deprived of education.
