Erring Chief Reservation Supervisor forcibly retired from Railway service

JAMMU, Dec 19: A Chief Reservation Supervisor at Jammu Tawi Railway Station, who was held guilty of taking liquor and playing cards with outsiders in his office, has been forcible retired from service with immediate effect.
The erring employee, namely Vijay Sharma was caught on camera while consuming liquor, smoking and playing cards with outsiders in the PRS office at Jammu Railway Station and a video in this regard had gone viral a few months ago.
Taking cognizance of the serious offence on the part of Railway servant, the Railway authorities ordered his suspension and served him the charge sheet. The enquiry report found the accused responsible for taking liquor and smoking in office besides absconding from office during suspension period from 05-07-2018 to 08-07-2018. Further, the accused official did not submit his defence.
Taking serious note of the offence on the part of Railway servant, Senior DCM, Firozpur held Vijay Sharma guilty of charges leveled against the later and imposed the penalty of compulsory retirement from service with immediate effect.
An order in this regard was issued today and Sham Pal (CRS) has been directed to immediately take over the charge of Chief Reservation Supervisor from Vijay Kumar Sharma.
