JAMMU, Feb 1: A meeting of Evacuee Property Tenants Welfare Society (EPTWS) was held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Jyoti Vaid, to discuss various problems being faced by the EP Tenants.
The meeting discussed the issue of repairing of custodian houses, which are in dilapidated condition. The president of the Society told the meeting their working body has held a series of meetings with Custodian department regarding the issue and as result the department has initiated steps for conducting repair of the damaged houses.
Expressing resentment over no norms in the Custodian department for enhancing rent, period of executing afresh agreement, transfer of allotment in blood relation and sublet case, the meeting called for review in the present policy of the department, which it said is not acceptable to the EP Tenants.
