EPFO appeals pensioners for timely submission of Life Certificate

JAMMU, May 20: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Jammu, has appealed to all EPS-95 pensioners and family pensioners to submit their annual Life Certificate on time in order to ensure uninterrupted pension services.
According to the information issued by the Regional Office, submission of the Life Certificate every year is mandatory for all pensioners. Failure to submit the certificate within the prescribed time may temporarily affect pension disbursement.
Keeping in view the convenience of pensioners, EPFO has simplified, digitized and made the process of submitting the Life Certificate more transparent. Pensioners can now submit their Digital Life Certificate from the comfort of their homes through Aadhaar-based Face Authentication technology using the Jeevan Pramaan App on their mobile phones.
Apart from this, pensioners can also submit their Life Certificate through the nearest EPFO office, bank branch, Common Service Centre (CSC), or post office.
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Sumit Singh, said that EPFO is continuously making efforts to provide better and hassle-free services to pensioners. He appealed to all pensioners not to wait till the last date and to submit their Life Certificates at the earliest to avoid any inconvenience in pension payments.
The EPFO Regional Office Jammu is also providing special guidance and assistance to pensioners during office hours for smooth submission of Life Certificates.
