Entries for Kunwar Viyogi Award to be received till Aug 20

JAMMU, Aug 12: The first Kunwar Viyogi Literary Award, instituted by Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust and Dogri Sanstha, shall be presented to the writer of the best Dogri book at a glittering function on September 10 at Jammu.
The selection of the best book for the award is under process. The last date for submission of books by Dogri young writers for this annual literary award in the memory of renowned Dogri litterateur editor, columnist and Sahitya Akademi Awardee Group Captain IAF (retired) Randhir Singh, popularly known as ‘Kunwar Viyogi’ in literary circles, has been extended till August 20 to facilitate young writers who could not be reached due to frequent internet black outs.
Sponsored by the KVM Trust for the promotion of Dogri language and literature, the Award carries a cash amount of Rs 11,000, a Memento and a Citation. It would be given on the best book in Dogri or translation of Dogri book in any recognized Indian language by a young Indian author whose age is below 42 on 4th September on the year of the award.
The books published during the last four years proceeding the award year shall be considered for Kunwar Viyogi Sahitya Puruskar.
