JAMMU, July 24: People’s Revolutionary Movement (PRM) served 15 days ultimatum to the Government to ensure the joining of the newly selected teachers from all districts.
Addressing a press conference PRM leader Rajinder Jamwal stated that the present Coalition Government has proved as complete failure in all fronts whether it be education, power, etc.
He said that Chief Minister himself is driven by partisan, sectarian, discriminatory and irrational approach as is evident from his conduct where he ensured the joining of teachers from his constituency Ganderbal whereas teachers selected in all other districts have not been allowed to join despite their selection for more than a year, thereby mocking and ridiculing the system as a whole.
Jamwal added that the newly selected teachers from all the districts are in doll drums as they could not opt for any other alternative due to their pending joining. He added that due to non-appointment of these selected teachers, hundreds of students pursing their studies in various schools of the State are facing problems.
Demanding immediate joining of the newly appointed teachers in all the districts, Jamwal warned of dire consequences in case the Government failed to make the newly appointed teachers join at the earliest.
Taking a dig at Chief Minister, Jamwal further stated that people of the winter capital are reeling under unscheduled power cuts in these humid weather conditions, but no one listens to the grievances of the people.
He said that there is increase in power cuts in the Jammu region and the Chief Minister who is also holding the portfolio of Power Minister is not uttering a single word, which shows his step motherly behaviour towards the people.
Directorate of School Education and State Board of School Education have become the den of corruption where rule of law has no meaning and officials are openly involved in minting money out of transfers and other routine matter with no criteria/ system at place, Jamwal alleged.
