Ensure home delivery of LPG: DC

JAMMU, Apr 19: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu today convened a meeting with the officers of legal metrology, CAPD, JMC and representatives from various oil agencies to discuss issues regarding the compliance of various directions of High Court for ensuring home delivery of LPG.
Threadbare discussions were also held regarding checking the misuse of subsidized LPG at commercial establishments.
Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the status of home deliveries of LPG from the representatives of oil companies and impressed upon them to ensure 100 per cent home delivery of LPG in urban areas including major town.
He also stressed upon the concerned agencies to ensure preventing spot delivery system within municipal areas and said that any vehicle found involved in spot delivery would be seized.
He directed the oil companies to furnish the details of cylinders issued through home delivery systems as well as instant delivery on monthly basis. He also asked the oil companies to ensure that Preferred Time Delivery System (PTDS) be properly advertised. The Deputy Commissioner further said strict action will be taken against the defaulting dealers involved in spot LPG delivery. He strictly maintained that action against the erring dealers will include cancellation of distributorship.
