Ensure all facilities to Kheer Bhawani pilgrims: JTC

JAMMU, May 11: A Joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) here, today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of JTC/SKF demanded that all facilities be provided to pilgrims during annual Kheer Bhawani Mela falling on June 20 this year.
While addressing the meeting Shadi Lal Pandita said that the State Government had been kind enough to extend free transport facilities to the pilgrims of Kheer Bhawani Mela during past more than 24 years for facilitating the Kashmiri Pandit migrant community to have darshan of Mata Kheer Bhawani on it this auspicious occasion.
Pandita has demanded that as per past practice free SRTC buses be allotted for carrying pilgrims from different locations from Jammu to Tulmulla on June 19 and return on June 21. Pandita has also demanded allotting free SRTC buses from Jammu to Tikker Kupwara, Manzgam Kulgam and Logripora (Pahalgam) in district Anantnag on this occasion for facilitating the pilgrims of smooth pilgrimage.
