JAMMU, Feb 15: A deputation of United Diploma Engineers Welfare Forum (UDEWF) under the presidentship of Upinder Singh called on Minister for PHE, Irrigation and FC, Sham Lal, here today and submitted a memorandum of their demands.
The deputation members apprised the Minister of their long pending demands and also submitted a memorandum in this regard.
The memorandum included demands like promotion to every diploma engineer after 15 years of service, restoration of Grade-I, maintenance of Cadre strength at all levels i.e from Junior Engineer to Assistant Engineer, Assistant Engineer to Assistant Executive Engineer, Assistant Executive Engineer to Executive Engineer and enhancement of fixed TA, which is presently Rs 30 only.
The Minister assured the deputation to solve their long pending demands at the earliest and impressed upon the engineers to work with zeal and dedication.
