JAMMU, Dec 9: Expressing confidence about larger participation of women in the ongoing democratic process, NC MLA Bimla Luthra today said that time has come when the people have to come forward in a big way to give Jammu and Kashmir a strong Government for ending the political instability.
Luthra was addressing election meetings at Savay Hotel, Bawe Wali Gali and Vikram Chowk area of Jammu East Assembly Constituency.
Describing women as strong support base of National Conference, she said they have always got opportunities in decision making, be it in Panchayats and other democratic institutions.
She said her party has taken pioneering and revolutionary measures for promoting female literacy and empowering them in socio-economic spheres. “Therefore, support of women to National Conference in forming a stable Government assumes added significance”, she maintained.
