DODA, Dec 23: In another instance of administration focused on resolving issues hindering development of the district, the Doda administration has resolved a major land encroachment issue preventing construction of a long-awaited 450 meter road connecting Tondwah with Nai Basti.
The resolution of the issue came after a series of meetings Deputy Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode convened with the Revenue authorities, locals of the respective area and executing agencies.
ACR Doda Kaiser Ahmed Bhawani, speaking in reference to this said that the final award for the acquired land of this road was completed in 2010, but the construction could not be completed because of the encroachment issue surrounding acquisition and removal of bottlenecks.
Inspite of the final award the work remained stalled because of this bottleneck, which is now sorted, the work is resumed now and will be completed at earliest, he added.
It is pertinent to mention here that the completion of this road will provide relief to the hundred of newly settled households, besides will also provide additional access to the Parmaz link road and under construction teaching hospital building near District Hospital Doda.
