Encounter breaks out between security forces, militants

SRINAGAR:
An encounter broke out this evening between security forces and militants in Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, police said.
They said that security agencies received input about presence of militants in Ratsuna village of Tral in the evening.
A joint team of police, army and paramilitary CRPF cordoned the area and began a search operation, police said.
As the security forces zeroed on the hiding militants, they fired upon at the personnel triggering an encounter.
The gunfight was going on as the last reports came in, they said, adding no casualty has been reported so far. (AGENCIES)
