JAMMU, May 29: A major fire gutted an electrical establishment in Gandhi Nagar of the winter capital.
As per reports, a fire broke out in an electrical shop owned by Lakshmi Narayan Sharma, son of Mohan Lal at Last Morh, Gandhi Nagar this morning.
On getting information, police personnel from Gandhi Nagar police station led by SHO Rajinder Sharma rushed to the spot and also informed the Fire and Emergency Department.
The fire tenders along with the teams of fire fighters rushed to the spot but by that time the establishment was completed gutted, he said, adding that the fire tenders controlled the fire from spreading to other parts of the area.
No injury or casualty in the incident has been reported, while, the exact loss could not be ascertained immediately.
A case has been registered at Gandhi Nagar police station and investigation started to ascertain the reason behind the incident.
