I want to draw the kind attention of related departments about the ‘Review of selection criteria of Presiding and Polling Officers; in our State and then in our country.
I don’t know why but it seems that selection of the officers during election is done ‘blindly.’ No idea of age and health is kept in mind.
The elderly employees are sent to places that are too far, to be reached and need a real deal of hard work to reach there. While the ‘young ones’ who need more exposure to these far-away places are sent to nearby areas. May be that is done because of some ‘jack’ of the newly appointed employees etc, but isn’t really very ‘Inhumanly’ to send employees on these tedious election assignments? In J&K State many employees who are “Aged and Medically Unfit are deployed at far away and Mountainous places’ where they have to track large distances to complete their election duties and want to draw the kind attention of related authorities to review the matter.
