Elect candidates with good public image: JDS

JAMMU, Apr 5: Janata Dal Secular (S) has appealed the people to vote in favour of those candidates who have a clean image and have not indulged in corrupt practices in their public life.
The appeal was made by the president of the party Mast Nath Yogi and its working president Kulbir Singh at a joint press conference here today.
They said the situation has worsened in the country in view of rising corruption and scams and the need of the hour is to elect those representatives who have a clean public image and who will come to the expectations of the people by fulfilling their aspirations.
They said that the rising prices and corruption are eating up the vitals of the society and the voters in whose hands lot of power vests during the elections can utilize the same to strengthen the democratic institutions in the country.
They said people have got a very good opportunity in electing the honest and dedicated people to the Parliament by showing door to mafia groups and corrupt politicians who always created hurdles in flourishing democracy in the country by exploiting the people with hollow slogans.
