JAMMU, Apr 16: All State Kashmiri Pandit Ekta Munch (ASKPEM) in collaboration with Neel Nag Self Help Group organised a get together at TRT Nagrota near, here today.
Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner (M), T K Bhat was the chief guest on the occasion while Kuldeep Kumar Raina, president, Samajik Vikas Sansthan and Manzgam Mandir Committee presided over the function.
The Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner interacted with the general public from the camp and took the stock of their day to day needs and problems.
Swami Kumar Ji a religious Guru was also present to bless the community people and he highlighted the religious significance of Navratras. He said the Hindu religion preaches that entire humanity is one.
Vinod Pandita, president All Parties Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (APMCCC) also spoke on the occasion and introduced the community with geographical localities of Kashmir and highlighted the rich cultural background of KPs.
Sundri Lal Koul, general secretary of Pt. Prem Nath Trust while speaking on the occasion informed about the need of constitution of Kashmiri Hindu Shrines and Temples Board and passage of the Bill in this regard which is already pending with the Government for consideration. Kashmir Lal Bhat was also present on the occasion.
During the meet the day today problems which community was facing were discussed, along the present pandemic and people were made aware for the SOPs and other precautions by the Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner and other speakers.
The frontline Corona warriors were also honoured by the organizers on the occasion and their contribution was highlighted.
The chairman All Kashmiri Ekta Manch Chand Ji Kher and founder of Neel Nag Self-Help Group Ashok Kumar Koul also spoke on the occasion and highlighted the objective of their organisations.
