Srinagar, Mar 3: Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) today threatened to launch agitation in case the Government fails to fulfill their demands.
Manzoor Ahamd Pampori, President of EJCC said that the SRO-520 announced by the Government recently has various loopholes. “We have already raised concern in this regard. The only thing in SRO-520 is enhancement of wages to the daily wagers and casual laborers,” he said, adding there is nothing related to the regularization of employees.
Pampori also said that the Government has failed to take steps regarding the 7th Pay Commission.
He said that the various issues pertaining to the employees were not fulfilled by the Government. “We appeal to the ruling regime to fulfill our demands or we will take streets against them,” he said.

EJCC which was formed today- is a conglomerate of various employees’ organizations “fighting for the genuine and legitimate demands of the government employees and the issues they face”.
EJCC has been formed by Aijaz Khan (President of CAPD Employees Association Kashmir and EJAC-Kashmir) Manzoor Ahmad Pampori (Urban Local Bodies Employees United Forum President) and Sheikh Aijaz Makhdoomi (President PDD Employees Association). They have not named any chairman but three chief spokesmen and they include Khan, Pampori and Makhdoomi.
CADP Employees Association Kashmir and Employees Joint Action Committee –Kashmir president Aijaz Khan urged the Government to implement the cabinet order of previous NC-Congress led regime pertaining to the SRO of regularization of the fair price shop owners.
“We demand allotting of grade Rs 4000- 6000 in favour of the departmental storekeepers, regularization of all the labourers working in central go-downs for many years, release of loading-unloading charges which are pending with the department since years as also commission due to the fair price shop owners across the valley,” Khan said.
“We also demand same treatment as prevalent in FCI with regard to the wastage of essential commodities. The government should fix monthly wages in favour of departmental labourers (Hamals) working at sale depots besides must directly induct football players of the department as storekeepers not as labourers as they are treated presently,” Ajaz said.
“The footballers of CAPD football team should also be regularized”, the CADP Employees president said. “We have listed all our demands in the memorandum. We will continue our struggle and won’t sit silently. We appeal government to resolve our issues or protests shall continue,” he added.
