SRINAGAR, Mar 10: Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) headed by Abdul Qayoom Wani has urged Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene and stop the orders of the re-employment of the officers who have retired from the Government services.
In a statement, Qayoom said that the issuing order of re-employment of retired officials dampens the chances of progress of the dedicated in-service employees and they feel dejected. He said this also affects the work culture in the different departments and the officials don’t discharge their duties with dedication and devotion.
“Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah, Ministers in the Council of Ministers and Chief Secretary, Mohammad Iqbal Khandey should take immediate note of this thing so that furthermore no orders are issued for re-employment of officials. This would send a positive signal to the serving employees and they will work with zeal and dedication,” said Qayoom.
