Eight mega recruitment drives under Udaan in next 2 weeks

JAMMU, Feb 18: In line with the Skill India movement in the country, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) along with Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), will be conducting eight Mega drives in the next two weeks in the State to boost Udaan project in Jammu and Kashmir, a special initiative to address the needs of educated but unemployed youth of the State.
Till date,  61 Mega Recruitment Drives have been organized across 22 locations in J&K. The companies attending these mega drives are from diverse sectors including banking, finance, hospitality, education, IT/ITES and security. For the upcoming drives,  some of India’s largest corporates,  including Accenture, Mount Talent Consulting, MBD Group, Safexpress  etc. have agreed to participate.
These mega drives are interactive and extended to the youth in J&K, where multiple reputed corporates/ multinationals come together and offer various trainings programs and job offers. None of other states have such innovative platforms for their youth.
These drives are for graduates, post graduate and three year diploma engineer who require skill training to make themselves job ready and employable as per industry standards. Trainings under Udaan will give them more opportunities for securing jobs across India.
Commenting on success of mega drives, Jayant Krishna, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation said, “The response and support we have received from the corporate world has encouraged us to set our sights high, in times to come. We now have 65 corporate partners aligned with Udaan’s vision who have committed to train 78,155 youth, from J&K, promising them a bright future. This collaboration will further enhance the reach of Udaan, opening up training and employment opportunities for the youth of the State.”
