JAMMU, Feb 18: In the ongoing tournament of Central Government Employees Welfare Coordination Committee (CG-EWCC), Jammu, Badminton singles matches were played at Indoor Badminton Court, High School, IISM, here today.
32 players participated in the single event.
In the first semifinal, Gaurav Chaturvedi (Special Bureau) beat Dushyant Sharma (Survey of India) by 21-15 & 21-17, while in the second semifinal, Rajesh Sahdev (IIIM) outplayed Shashi Jamwal (Survey of India) by a margin of 21-17 & 21-14. In the final match, Gaurav Chaturvedi defeated Rajesh Sahdev by a margin of 21-11 & 21-17.
The matches were officiated by BS Bhan , NSSO, Ashok Chaddha, AG office, Sham Lal, CWC, Deepak Balotra, Shashi Jamwal, Sanjeev Sharma, SoI, Vikram Abrol, Vimarsh Kaw and Anooop Magotra.
The matches were played under the guidance of VK Bakshi, secretary-CGEWCC, Jammu and Amanullah Tak (I.P&T, Account & Finance Services).
